Set in the serenity and peacefulness of the California Wine Country and surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, apple orchards and a prize-winning peony garden, learn to perceive food and its culinary preparation as a channel for personal awareness and spiritual enlightenment through the divinity of the human relationship and interaction that is creates.

Retreat from the stress and pressure of the office or home to bask in the subtle tranquility of a Japanese-inspired cooking pavilion as you focus on the culinary arts as the articulation of culture and tradition with the "tavola" (table) being the protagonist for oneness and for understanding.

Half-day hands-on culinary programs conducted by guest chefs from Italy are supplemented with the gathering of fresh herbs and vegetables from the "orto" (vegetable garden) with part of each day dedicated to refining communication, collaboration and time management skills through specific exercises with a psychologist or facilator.
